Lamson Institute researchers and students at the University of Minnesota’s Lamson Medical Research Center are exploring the potential for the use of “Sildenafil-based Viagra” in the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

“Our research shows that men who take Viagra, and who have used it for at least two years, could be able to achieve the desired effect,” said Lamson’s director, Dr. Jennifer B. Heiden, in an email.

In a study of Viagra-using men, a placebo was prescribed to eight men who used the drug before and after an initial trial of Sildenafil, a type of phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE5) inhibitor, as well as those who had used Sildenafil for four years or more.

In a separate study, men were randomly assigned to receive Sildenafil 50 mg or placebo, or to receive Viagra 100 mg, or to receive Viagra 200 mg, as a separate treatment for erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil was used to treat erectile dysfunction, while Viagra was used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension.

In both studies, men were given a single dose of Sildenafil (the active ingredient) before and four hours later, and they were evaluated for ability to achieve and maintain an erection, a measure of sexual satisfaction. The men in the study who took the Sildenafil were also compared to those who took the placebo group, while the men in the study who took the placebo were also evaluated on a measure of sexual arousal.

“The goal of this study was to evaluate whether Sildenafil-based Viagra could help patients who are at increased risk of suffering from sexual dysfunction and to assess whether this was due to the use of the drug,” said Heiden. “This study is a very interesting finding that shows how important it is to use Sildenafil-based Viagra for men who are experiencing erectile dysfunction.”

The researchers were unable to determine whether use of Sildenafil-based Viagra in combination with Sildenafil may cause sexual dysfunction.

The researchers were also unable to determine whether Sildenafil-based Viagra has an effect on a man’s blood pressure.

“This is a very interesting finding that shows how important it is to use Sildenafil-based Viagra for men who are experiencing erectile dysfunction,” said Heiden. “Sildenafil is known to have an effect on blood pressure, so it can be used to treat erectile dysfunction in men who have a history of hypertension or other cardiovascular diseases. It can also be used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension, and also for other conditions where blood pressure is high.”

Sildenafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction in men and pulmonary arterial hypertension in women. The drug can also be used to treat other conditions such as benign prostatic hypertrophy, a condition that affects the prostate.

“Sildenafil has been used for decades to treat erectile dysfunction in men, but it has not been effective for pulmonary arterial hypertension. Studies have shown that taking Sildenafil can help improve pulmonary hypertension in the majority of patients, but only for those who have pulmonary hypertension,” said Heiden. “Our study was designed to evaluate whether Sildenafil can help men who are at increased risk of suffering from sexual dysfunction and to evaluate whether this was due to the use of the drug.

“This is an important study to evaluate whether Sildenafil can help patients who are at increased risk of suffering from sexual dysfunction and to evaluate whether this was due to the use of the drug.”

This study is part of a multi-faceted study of the use of Sildenafil for erectile dysfunction.Dr. Heiden and her colleagues are studying the potential for the use of sildenafil-based Viagra (the active ingredient in Viagra) in the treatment of erectile dysfunction.

“We are planning a second study to look at the potential of this drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction,” she said in an email. “We are working on further studies to determine whether this drug could be beneficial to the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. We are also exploring the possibility of sildenafil being used for pulmonary arterial hypertension.

On the surface, Viagra may seem like a simple pill for erectile dysfunction. But what if you can’t go back and read the label? Here are some tips to help you get started:

1. Ask for a prescription from your doctor. Many insurance plans offer medications that don’t require a prescription. Ask your insurance plan whether Viagra is covered by your Medicare prescription. This will help you save money on your prescription.

2. If you can’t get a prescription for Viagra, talk to your doctor. They can prescribe Viagra to you if you have a history of heart disease, high or low blood pressure, liver or kidney disease, or a history of stroke.

3. Check your blood pressure regularly. Your doctor may prescribe a low-dose (usually 25 mg) of Viagra (sildenafil). You can get a lower dose for as low as 50 mg, but you’ll usually get 25 mg as the dose gets higher. Your doctor may also recommend increasing your dose gradually over time. (Viagra and blood pressure can also be used together in some cases.)

4. Ask your doctor about other medication you’re taking. This includes prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements. Be sure to tell your doctor about all the medications, vitamins, or supplements you’re taking, so they can determine if Viagra is safe for you.

5. If you have certain health conditions, tell your doctor before starting Viagra. Viagra can make you more dizzy or sleepy, so they won’t prescribe Viagra for you. Do this even if you feel well.

6. Keep all your appointments with your doctor. They can talk you through some of the symptoms of low blood pressure. Your doctor can make sure you have regular blood tests to check for any underlying health conditions.

7. If you’re pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breast-feeding, talk to your doctor about Viagra or any other treatment for erectile dysfunction. Viagra or blood pressure medication can be harmful if you’re pregnant.

8. Do a blood test. Viagra and blood pressure can cause abnormal tests like a simple blood test called a PDE-5 (phosphodiesterase type 5) to show up differently in your blood. This is because Viagra and blood pressure medication can change the shape of your blood vessels. Your doctor will do a blood test to check for this.

9. Viagra may make you feel dizzy or sleepy. To get the most out of Viagra, make sure you have plenty of water to drink. You could also get a blue pill if you do this too early.

10. Ask your pharmacist about any other medications you take. Viagra can interact with prescription drugs, over-the-counter medicines, herbal supplements, vitamins, and supplements.

These tips can help you get started on how to safely take Viagra.

Remember:

For best results, make sure you get a prescription from your doctor. If you have insurance coverage for Viagra, talk to your doctor about a prescription for Viagra if your doctor is willing to do so.

*If you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant, or are breast-feeding, talk to your doctor about Viagra or any other treatment for erectile dysfunction.

**If you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the ingredients in Viagra or blood pressure medication. Symptoms may include: rash, itching, hives, and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, or throat. If you’re not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. If you’re taking nitrates for chest pain or heart disease, talk to your doctor before taking Viagra. This medicine may not work for everyone. Discuss any side effects with your doctor. Your doctor will probably tell you not to take Viagra if you have high blood pressure or heart disease.**If you have heart disease, talk to your doctor before taking Viagra. Viagra can cause a dangerous drop in your blood pressure. If your blood pressure is high, your doctor may lower your dose or even temporarily reduce your dose. Taking Viagra with other medicines can cause dangerous drops in blood pressure.

Viagra has been shown to cause some mild side effects. Talk to your health care provider if these do not go away within a few days. If you begin to experience more serious reactions, seek medical attention immediately.

Common side effects reported from Viagra use include:

  • Headache
  • Heartburn
  • Congestion

More severe side effects include:

  • Painful erections or erections that last longer than 4 hours

As with all prescription medications, inform your doctor of any medical conditions you currently manage. Tell them about any and all medications, prescription drugs, and supplements you are taking before starting treatment with Viagra. Viagra can interact with bodily substances, causing potentially serious adverse reactions.

Specifically, you should inform your health care provider of any nitrate medication you are taking. Remember to mention any herbal products you use, especially St. John’s wort.

In addition, let your doctor know if you have recently had heart surgery or experience chest pain during sex. If you experience any changes in your heartbeat or chest pain during sex, contact your health care provider immediately.

Sildenafil vs Viagra: Which is better, cost-effectiveness, or are they?

Hello,my name is Cindy Whitehead and I want to start functioning as a doctor by recommending pharmacy-only medication to my patients. Since I work in a busy office setting, I often have to schedule a telehealth appointment with my patients. When I first started taking Viagra, my erections were not working well. I was prescribed sildenafil 50mg, 50mg, and 100mg. I am now 50 years old. The only problem is that the price of the medication has increased exponentially. I have tried a number of different combinations and I have been disappointed by none. My erections don't last very long. I have been experiencing chest pain during sex as well as my chest pain has gone. My doctor prescribed 100mg, 50mg, and 50mg sildenafil. This works for me as well as for the other patients who take Viagra. But the chest pain doesn't last long enough to be a problem. I have been experiencing some discomfort in my chest during sex. I have also been experiencing some dizziness during sex, which I've tried. I also had to resort to taking a nonprescription medication for the first time.

My erections are not getting better. I am having some sort of difficulty in getting an erection. I have had to go to the emergency room because of a serious drop in blood pressure. I have also had to resort to taking a medication that I believe may help me. I would really recommend this to anyone who is struggling to get an erection. And if you are experiencing a serious side effect, I highly recommend you get immediate medical attention.

So basically, I'm wondering what is better, cost-effectiveness, or are they?
